Happy International Women’s Day and Women in Construction Week!! Today and everyday it is essential that we encourage young women to join the trades. I often wish that in my teenage years, the trades had been introduced to me as a career option– I never realized what fulfilling work was until I started working with my hands. If you know a young lady, especially one who doesn’t feel drawn to a college-path, giving her the resources and support to explore the trades as an option might be the best thing you can do for her. As we continue to grow the industry in a more inclusive way and bring different perspectives and mindsets and backgrounds, we can only benefit.
